Its bright f/1.4 maximum aperture suits working in low-light conditions and offers increased control over depth of field for isolating subjects and producing selective focus effects. Its manual focus design permits working with subjects as close as 13″ away and a 10-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality.
Compact wide-angle prime is designed for full-frame Nikon Z-mount mirrorless cameras but can also be used with APS-C models where it provides a 52.5mm equivalent focal length. Fast f/1.4 maximum aperture benefits working in difficult lighting conditions and offers improved control over depth of field for selective focus applications.
